34 MARKETWATCH: EVENT PREVIEW More than 4,000 companies from across the engineering, energy and digital sectors will come together to learn about the latest industrial technology at Hannover Messe 2024. The theme for this year’s event is ‘Energising a Sustainable Industry’, and a range of sessions will cover how firms can efficiently use automation, artificial intelligence and renewable energies to become more competitive while protecting the climate. Technology experts will host talks in dedicated exhibition areas, including the ‘Future Hub’, ‘Engineered Parts & Solutions’, ‘Automation, Motion & Drives’, ‘Energy Solutions’ and ‘Digital Ecosystems’. Other sessions at Hannover Messe will address the shortage of skilled workers in the manufacturing industry through its ‘Your Future’ young talent initiative where graduates can meet with potential employers and learn about trainee programmes. 22-26 April 2024 | Hanover, Germany Hannover Messe 2024: energising a sustainable industry Avanade – Booth location to be announced Avanade will be showcasing a new Microsoft solution that creates near real-time intelligence from diverse factory and enterprise systems. It uses standardised graph-of-graphs models to supercharge the ask-an-expert capabilities of Microsoft Copilot to help users reduce wasted time, money and resources, thereby boosting productivity and sustainability. Avanade will also share how firms can digitise what they make and reinvent how they make it. Its end-to-end manufacturing and supplier value chain demonstration will look at the benefits of machine vision and generative AI for employees in key business functions. This includes product designers, master resource planners, plant managers, logistics experts, retailers and the end-consumer. Microsoft will be exhibiting at the event in hall 17, stand G06, alongside some of its partners including Avanade, AVEVA, Rockwell Automation and Siemens.
