AGR improves Microsoft Dynamics ERP integration with new release

AGR has launched a new software release – AGR 5 – which delivers advanced forecasting replenishment and demand planning functionality across the supply chain.

The new release sees the closer integration of AGR’s inventory forecasting and planning solutions with Microsoft's Dynamics enterprise resource planning (ERP) software suite.

It provides a range of demand forecasting, replenishment, order planning, inventory optimisation, sales and operations planning plus sales promotion management capabilities to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and NAV 2013 products.

Thanks to the tighter integration with Microsoft Dynamics AX and NAV, the implementation process is both simplified and accelerated. Users require less training to use the solution and adoption rates are higher.

“The launch of AGR 5 is by far our most important product launch to date, it highlights our successful working partnership with Microsoft and marks a significant step forward in our strategy to be at the very heart of the Microsoft eco-system,” said Haukar Hannesson, managing director of AGR. “By deploying AGR 5, we are confident business partners and customers will more easily manage the growing complexity of their supply chain environment while delivering a series of tangible business and operational benefits.”

AGR 5 enables the handling of large amounts of complex data, which in turn helps businesses overcome the common bottlenecks of the order creation and forecasting process. Organisations can also set up and manage a greater number of SKUs or product codes, which helps produce faster forecast calculations.

The release also features a new user interface, which is quick to refresh, promotes collaborative working, and helps users across the supply chain easily access critical stock and inventory data.
