Microsoft has announced the winners and finalists of this year’s Partner of the Year Awards. The annual awards celebrate Microsoft partners that are solving customer challenges with creative technology solutions. Award winners and finalists, chosen from nominations from around the world, will be recognised at the 2014 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, which will take place on 13-17 July in Washington DC.
The awards span 46 categories this year, that showcase each of the core partner competencies including cloud technology; Windows 8; Office and SharePoint applications; public sector; citizenship and sales and excellence. More than 2,800 entries were collected from more than 117 countries; the award finalists and winners were selected from a group of nominations based on their commitment to customers, their solutions’ market impact and exemplary use of Microsoft technologies.
ICONICS has been announced as the first ever Public Sector Partner of the Year – CityNext winner, which recognises the company’s implementation of CityNext solutions. Microsoft announced the launch of CityNext – a people-centric initiative that focuses on delivering innovative solutions that help meet the challenges faced by cities worldwide – at WPC 2013.
Other winners include Accenture/Avanade for mobility, Dell for its work with Windows 8 app development and Caase.com, which won Cloud Partner of the Year – Enterprise Customers. A full list of the winners and finalists can be found here.
