Altius Group uses Microsoft tech to improve workplace health

Workplace health specialist Altius Group is using Microsoft technologies to more effectively respond to customers’ needs, keep data private and secure, and help staff collaborate across the globe.

The firm works with individuals, employers and insurance firms to support staff and improve their physical, mental and social health. In order to give its team of occupational therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists and rehabilitation counsellors greater flexibility, Altius is using Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365. This ‘three-cloud approach’ now delivers improved reach and scalability, and enhanced disaster recovery.

“By moving our environment into Azure, scalability of computing is now only a click of a button away and some of our servers are set to autoscale so adjustments are automated as more computing power is required and as our business grows,” says Shuva Das, chief information officer and group head of technology at Altius Group (pictured). “This was never possible with on-premises hardware. We also now have a fully functional duplicate of our live infrastructure in another location in Australia for disaster recovery.”

Altius is using Microsoft Teams as part of its new Dynamics 365 customer relationship management solution. Staff can also use the offering to collaborate online, instead of travelling to meetings abroad.

“With the power of Microsoft Teams and Microsoft365 we are able to work collaboratively to develop and deliver tailored, timely, holistic solutions for our customers,” says Das.
