Dell unveils new XPS, Venue and Inspiron devices at CES 2015

Dell unveiled an expanded portfolio of XPS, Venue and Inspiron devices at CES 2015.

“The new products announced today raise the bar in every category, with style, substance and software solutions customers can only get from Dell,” said Sam Burd, vice president of Dell’s Client Solutions Product Group.

Designed to offer form and function, the Dell XPS 13 is the world’s smallest 13-inch laptop with a virtually borderless infinity display. Operating on Microsoft Windows 8.1, it has the longest battery life of any 13-inch notebook, offering 15 hours of battery life from a single charge. This, combined with its fifth-generation Intel Core Processors and lightweight design, makes the device ideal for business professionals and mobile workers. Meanwhile, its optional UltraSharp Quad HD+ infinity display enhances presentations.

The Dell XPS 15, which will soon be released online, features an UltraSharp 4K Ultra HD touch display with more than eight million pixels, the highest resolution panel available on a 15-inch laptop today.

In addition, devices from Dell’s Venue 8 7000 Series are now available on Dell.com and at select Best Buy stores in the US.

First unveiled at the Intel Developer Forum in September 2014, the Venue 8 7000 Series (pictured) is based on the Intel Atom processor Z3500 series and is the world’s thinnest tablet at 6mm. It features 2560x1600 OLED infinity edge-to-edge display and is the first to integrate the Intel RealSense Snapshot Depth Camera.

Meanwhile, new products have been introduced to the Dell Inspiron 7000 and 5000 Series, including the Inspiron 15 7000 Series laptop with Windows. The device has new fifth-generation Intel Core processors and a 4K UHD touch display option, which offers a wide-angle viewing experience, ideal for watching presentations while travelling.

The Inspiron 15 5000 Series laptop and Inspiron 23 all-in-one desktop now feature the Intel RealSense 3D Camera Front F200, providing business users with new ways to collaborate and create content. The Inspiron 15 5000 Series also boasts 5th Generation Intel Core processors to give almost eight hours of battery life.

Dell will also release a special edition of the Inspiron 13 7000 Series two-in-one device in March, as part of its Only @ Best Buy collection. This device will debut with curved edges, a metal palm rest and a diamond-cut touch pad. The 360-degree hinge design rotates between four modes of use for ultimate flexibility enabling users to flip between laptop, tent, easel and tablet mode to suit their varying work needs.

Both the 5000 and 7000 Series offer Dell’s new precision touchpads to enable fluid panning, pinching and zooming.
