Online retailer reduces downtime on orders by working with payment processing firm Square and Microsoft partner and management software provider Cavallo

Online lighting retailer LightbBulbs.com has updated its order management systems to deliver more efficient services to customers.

The firm worked with payment processor firm Square and Microsoft partner Cavallo to upgrade its payment processing systems, which would previously crash for several hours at a time, leaving customers unable to process card payments.

Cavallo delivered its SalesPad solution to automate LightBulb.com’s inventory management processes. The solution – which is designed to complement enterprise resource planning systems built within Microsoft Dynamics GP and Dynamics 365 Business Central – allows the firm to process 400 online transactions per day (approximately 10 million per year) quickly so that it can reduce the time that it takes to process and send orders to customers.

The solution will also help LightBulbs.com to reduce the more than 12,500 calls it receives per year from customers experiencing payment processing problems. It will also help employees to track payments accurately when dealing with complaint calls.

“It was apparent from day one that the integration was going to be simple and seamless,” said Paul McLellan, president of LightBulbs.com. “Square allows us to stay competitive and relevant. We can quickly and securely process tens of thousands of credit card transactions a year, allowing us to stay on top of the industry.”
