Microsoft has released a range of updates for Microsoft Teams that are designed to enhance the user experience by using artificial intelligence and optimising new hardware.
Teams Phone users can now programme Teams Phone-certified devices to automatically dial a preconfigured phone number or contact, such as emergency services or a help desk. Users will also benefit from new, simplified interfaces for call delegation and Teams Phone devices.
Furthermore, the Teams Shared Device licence is now available on the Teams mobile app for android devices, which will help frontline workers make and receive calls through shared mobiles.
Microsoft has also improved Teams Rooms and associated devices. The front row feature on Teams Rooms now uses Microsoft’s AI technology to remove individual backgrounds and adjust the size of participants on the screen so that remote attendees feel as though they are in the same room.
There is also a new range of devices designed to work with the Teams IntelliFrame feature, including the Yealink SmartVision 60, which is available now, and the Jabra PanaCast 50 Video Bar System which will be available soon.
Meeting participants can also now use Cloud IntelliFrame video processing, which gives individual frames to participants gathered in one physical space to create an engaging experience for everyone.
