Firms named for The Retail Innovation Theatre at RBTE event

Retail technology consultancy Eccomplished has named 18 companies that will take part in The Retail Innovation Theatre, an initiative it is sponsoring at the upcoming Retail Business Technology Expo (RBTE).

The list of firms – which includes YESpay and StoreEnabler – has been selected by a committee of retail technology thought leaders based on their ability to address the biggest challenges faced by retailers. More companies will be added in the coming weeks.

Each session within The Retail Innovation Theatre will be led by a prominent retail figure. These retail leaders will provide an outline of the challenges facing retailers, before opening the floor to retail innovators who will present and demonstrate their ideas, solutions and products. These interactive sessions will include a Q&A session and networking opportunities.

Topics covered at the event will include the reinvention of physical retail, customer centric commerce, and the transformation of the customer experience. Experts will also provide insight and discussion on the future of the retail industry, how best to address the operational challenges of retail, and how to capitalise on the opportunities presented by a growing international market.

“Both our organisations are passionate about retail and we’re constantly impressed by the amazing innovations and entrepreneurs that we come across on a daily basis,” said Matt James of Eccomplished. “All of the companies selected have the potential to dramatically change and improve the way retailers operate. The Innovation Theatre at RBTE gives these companies a stage to showcase their new and innovative technology.”
