Furla selects Yourcegid Retail solution to help support international growth

Italian fashion brand Furla has selected Cegid’s Yourcegid Retail omni-channel management solution to help support its plans for expansion.

Founded in Bologna, Italy, in 1927, Furla specialises in the creation and distribution of high-quality bags, footwear and accessories.

The company is now looking to enhance its brand in a number of international markets, and has selected the Yourcegid Retail solution to help optimise its retail management processes and provide a unique shopping experience for clients.

Furla needed to centralise its retail and merchandising activities. This required a single centralised database. The company also needed to maintain its strong attention with regards to local needs in areas such as store management, customer loyalty programmes and local tax procedures.

In order to achieve its expansion goals, the company selected the Yourcegid Retail Y2 omni-channel retail management solution, which uses a Windows 8 user interface and has been developed in association with Microsoft.

With the new solution, Furla’s staff can manage their activities and customers in real-time across multiple channels. This helps the company meet the demands of the modern connected retail customer.

The solution uses a centralised, cloud-based database that provides real-time data on sales, stocks and customers. This helps users define a ‘clienteling’ strategy and helps them improve their decision-making going forward.

The solution is localised for each country, meaning it can handle specific requirements and procedures for each region, and helps the company in its plans for international expansion.

“To ensure real-time data exchange on stocks and sales, wherever in the world our customers are, requires four internationally located servers,” said Eraldo Poletto, CEO at Furla. “Thanks to Yourcegid Retail Y2, we are able to manage all our channels – stores, franchisee and outlets – through only one system and provide our customers with a holistic shopping experience.”
