Gitex Global will welcome over 4,500 companies and 100,000 attendees in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on 10-14 October 2022.

The event has grown in recent years, and in 2022 is expected to span 26 halls, roughly equivalent to 33 football fields. According to an event spokesperson, this growth has been driven by market demand across all industry sectors, with 1,400 new exhibitors showcasing applications in the metaverse, artificial intelligence, 6G, blockchain, cloud computing, fintech and big data.

“As the curious audience attempts to make sense of the real versus virtual world we are creating, Gitex Global takes the helm in partnering with global technology leaders to empower, enlighten and enthuse everyone on the metamorphosis of the digital economy,” said Trixie LohMirmand, executive vice president of events management at Dubai World Trade Centre, the organiser of Gitex Global. “The event will cut through the hype and emotions, gathering the best minds in all businesses around the world to debate, challenge and rationalise the impact of this technology fusion on society and our future.”

The show will feature two new events: Global DevSlam and X-Verse. The former will connect 10,000 coders with developers from the world’s biggest technology companies, including Google, Microsoft, Oracle and Red Hat. X-Verse, on the other hand, will focus on the metaverse and will highlight some of its disruptive applications across manufacturing, education, healthcare, retail and the future of work.

Attendees can take part in 14 dedicated conference tracks with more than 500 hours of talks, case studies, industry trends and workshops. They can also hear from a line-up of over 1,000 government ministers, global technology leaders and experts as they share their perspectives on major trends.
