Microsoft Azure to host JDA’s supply chain management platform
Solution to offer scalability, maturity, AI and ML technology for any enterprise

JDA Software’s supply chain management (SCM) platform is to be hosted on the Microsoft Azure cloud. The move will enable JDA to provide enterprise customers with greater scalability and security as well as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) functionality.

The SCM platform aims to enable customers and partners to create cutting-edge applications on top of JDA’s solutions.

"With its enterprise capabilities and intelligence-driven design, the JDA SCM platform is the ideal match for Microsoft Azure,” said Scott Guthrie, executive vice president of Cloud + AI at Microsoft. “Azure’s enterprise-proven flexibility, reliability and scale, along with its enterprise AI capabilities, make it the most optimal foundation for JDA’s development platform and services. Together, Azure and JDA’s SCM platform provide our mutual customers a powerful combination to drive digital transformation across their businesses.”

JDA is using AI and ML from Blue Yonder to enhance customers’ business decisions and unify supply chains. Customers can also use this technology to solve their most complex challenges, particularly with JDA’s API-led architecture which is powered by MuleSoft. According to a press release by JDA Software, the combination of these technologies makes the SCM platform the next step towards an autonomous supply chain for customers.

By uniting a customer’s supply chain digital assets, customers can consume, enhance, supplement, mine and analyse datasets to get insights across their supply chain to inform smarter, more actionable AI and ML-based decisions.

“To create an autonomous supply chain, a supply chain platform is essential,” said Desikan Madhavanur, chief development officer at JDA. “By infusing JDA’s SCM platform with award-winning AI and ML technology, we will empower our customer and partner community to create cutting-edge applications on top of our platform, bringing in critical sensor and streaming data as well as other rich data sources to put real-time, actionable and probabilistic decision-making into the hands of our customers.”
