Dave Coplin, chief envisioning officer at Microsoft, is to keynote at the K3 Retail Conference on 12 June 2014.

Coplin will discuss how organisations and individuals within the retail sector can harness technology to improve the in-store, online, direct and mobile shopping experience for customers.

“Putting the customer at the heart of your business is the key to delivering the connected customer experience,” said Russell Dorset, managing director of K3 Retail. “We will also explore how to drive profitable sales and help retailers understand the true cost of making their customers happy. Happy customers make happy shoppers making happy retailers.”

Hosted at Wokefield Park in Reading, UK, the event will focus on three key streams including the future of payments, customer experience, and delivering customer happiness. Leading vendors from each of these areas will provide thought leadership, demonstrate their latest innovations and provide insight on best practice.

Platinum sponsor VeriFone will explore integration complexity and the benefits of using new payment technologies to create a personalised shopping experience, while gold sponsors Toshiba will discuss omni-channel services from a consumer perspective. In addition, data capture provider Intelligent Capture, and business intelligence and analytics specialists Targit, will demonstrate their solutions.
