Microsoft optimises its range of Office apps for iPad Pro

Microsoft has optimised its range of Office apps for use on the new iPad Pro device, which will available for purchase this week.

Users will now be able to use optimised Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote apps on the iPad Pro device, and take advantage of the range of multitasking features on offer.

These features include the Split View option, which lets users simultaneously view and use two apps at once, and the Slide Over option, which enables users to open apps while already using another.

The OneNote and Outlook apps are free to use on the iPad Pro, but customers will need to sign up for an Office 365 subscription to create and edit documents in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
