Microsoft to release new InTune updates this month

Microsoft is to release a new service update for Microsoft Intune before 11 February.

Only available on the cloud, the new Intune features will enable customers to manage the OneNote app on iOS devices, and manage several Office mobile apps – word, Excel and PowerPoint – on Android devices.

Meanwhile, customers will be able to browse and install apps on Windows Phone 8.1 devices using the Intune Company Portal website, and deploy wifi profiles for Windows devices using XML import and Windows Phone devices using OMA-URI.

Customers will also be able to encrypt Intune on Windows 8.1 (x86) devices and set the minimum classification of platform updates to be installed automatically on these devices.

The service update will also support virtual private network configurations for the Cisco AnyConnect app on iOS devices.

Microsoft plans to deliver new features to Microsoft Intune on a monthly basis.
