Global insurance broker AmWINS has launched a new intranet based on Akumina’s digital workplace software.
The new system will replace an outdated and hard-to-update intranet that was no longer being used by the company’s 5,000 employees that are spread across 133 locations.
It will include targeted news and communications for employees, personalised and fully customisable dashboards, and access to resources such as sales materials, training videos and the firm’s global directory.
AmWINS’ new digital workplace will also take advantage of Akumina’s Workspaces solution, which uses Microsoft Teams chat software and other Microsoft technologies to provide a better platform for employees to collaborate on projects.
The initial deployment will be complete in less than 12 weeks, with additional features added over time.
