Bucher Emhart Glass, an international glass container manufacturer with sites across Europe, USA and Asia, is using SnapOn Software’s technology to streamline collaboration for its team members.

The firm was struggling to manage data across its digital workspaces with over 500 unmanaged Microsoft Teams accounts, scattered data across, duplicate workspaces and no unified governance. It needed to maximise its Microsoft 365 benefits while controlling sprawl, streamline collaboration tools and enforce IT governance to all employees.

SnapOn Software helped Bucher Emhart set up its Microsoft 365 system using a tool called ProvisionPoint. This tool automatically applies rules for how workspaces are used, controls who can access data and provides guidance for customising accounts.

As a result, the company has taken back control, cutting down from over 500 Microsoft Teams groups to just 113 well-managed ones. It’s now following clear rules to prevent random team creation and has a fully managed system in place for creating, archiving, and deleting teams.
