Dassault Systèmes is to acquire its partner No Magic, the model-based systems engineering and modelling solutions company.

The acquisition will strengthen Dassault Systèmes’ industry solution experiences on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform by generalising systems engineering to help develop the ‘Internet of Experiences.’

Dassault Systèmes will integrate No Magic’s solutions into its 3DEXPERIENCE platform, reinforcing its existing CATIA applications. This will provide a ‘single source of truth’ and allow any user to implement continuous 3D digital processes and address all lifecycle aspects of an experience.

“We are delighted to become part of Dassault Systèmes and its game-changing approach to product design and development,” said Gary Duncanson, president and CEO at No Magic. “Our combined expertise with the CATIA brand leadership will open new doors for system of systems modelling across industries and countries, enable autonomous systems initiatives with software architecture modelling, and generate new opportunities combining business process and systems modelling with enterprise architecture. Dassault Systèmes and No Magic both share a common vision and a ‘customer first’ attitude, offering solutions that simplify the complexity of today’s connected world.”

“The acquisition of No Magic will position Dassault Systèmes as the undisputed leading provider of solutions for all systems embedding software and establish an environment where building, testing and releasing software can happen rapidly, frequently and more reliably,” said Philippe Laufer, CEO, CATIA at Dassault Systèmes. “No Magic’s highly-skilled teams and industry-leading resources will accelerate the implementation of our vision for this unified and integrated approach.”
