Single-click learning service Happit is to expand its Microsoft Office 365 adoption service into the UK by setting up a branch in London and the fintech industry. The move is aimed at giving more support to UK-based Microsoft partners who are migrating to the cloud.

The company expects to close its first deals by the end of 2018 and officially open the London branch in the first quarter of 2019 . In addition to offering better support for local partners, the branch will focus on developing applications for specific industries. Services will consist of effective content creation and provisioning, as well as specialised services for use in fintech.

“We see London as a logical step in our expansion to new markets,” said Jukka Koskenkanto, CEO at Happit. “It is a great stepping stone for expanding to global markets from Europe to the west and east.”

Happit’s expansion into London is part of the company’s international growth plan, which was accelerated by a €1 million funding grant from Business Finland at the beginning of 2018. In less than six months, Happit has established itself in 13 countries across three continents, helping a steadily growing partner network in the Microsoft ecosystem tackle user adoption and technology consumption challenges.

“We are humbled to see all the attention we’re getting after only seven months since the service’s release,” said JP Wirta, head of business development and partnerships at Happit. “It has been a huge effort from the team as well as all our partners. As Happit is designed for the whole ecosystem, we want to give back to the community. Therefore, we decided to release a free #JustHappit version of the service for employee teams. This lowers the barrier for individuals to see the value of context learning in action in their area of responsibilities.”

Happit’s success and the growth of its Office 365 adoption service was recognised with an award for the Best Office 365 Add-in at the European SharePoint Conference on 28 November 2018.

“We are delighted to see companies like Happit get recognition from the community,” said Chris Dial, senior director of Cloud ISVs and Startups at Microsoft. “It is a perfect example of a modern scale-up taking full advantage of the Microsoft Azure platform and transforming its features to a value-adding service for customers. In addition, it is taking on to one of the biggest challenges of cloud service era - Customer Success Management.”
