Qualcomm to demonstrate IoT solutions at NRF 2023: Retail’s Big Show


A series of interactive demonstrations will showcase solutions aimed at supporting store associates, improving operational facilities and enhancing customer experiences

5G and artificial intelligence solutions provider Qualcomm is in attendance at NRF 2023: Retail’s Big Show in New York City, USA, to showcase its internet of things (IoT) retail solutions.

During the event, it will host a series of interactive demonstrations at its booth, focusing on enhancing customer experiences, empowering store associates and improving operational facilities.

Solutions being demonstrated with a focus on customer experience include its AI-enabled smart kiosk/vending machine, which can automatically recognise products picked up by customers and ease operational management.

Qualcomm will also showcase its Smart Cart solution, which allows customers to checkout as they place items in their cart with a pay-as-you-go feature, as well as IoT Payments – Scan and Go, and IoT Payments – Car Commerce.

Biometric Palm Payment is being demonstrated with Arima, JP Morgan, NCR and Red Rock Biometrics, and will highlight the security benefits of customers using their palms to make payments.

Other Qualcomm solutions also under demonstration at NRF 2023: Retail’s Big Show include Inventory Management, Shelf Scanning by Gausium and Drone Delivery, all of which focus on using drones and robotics to assist with inventory management and last-mile deliveries.
