Data provider S&P Global has expanded its collaboration with Microsoft to bring its data, insights and analytics into Microsoft 365 Copilot workflows and agentic experiences.

This new integration will provide customers with “real-time, traceable and contextual insights to support faster research, analysis and decision-making,” according to S&P Global.

“Our collaboration with Microsoft is shaping the next era of AI-ready data and intelligence-driven workflows,” said Sally Moore, chief client officer and co-head of the Market Intelligence division at S&P Global. “We are meeting clients where they work, embedding S&P Global’s trusted, high-quality data directly into their workflows and unlocking agentic capabilities that turn insight into action and enable faster, more informed decision-making.”

The new solution, enabled by the S&P Global Kensho platform, builds on the existing integration of S&P Global Energy AI Ready Data in Microsoft 365 Copilot. Rather than placing data into a standalone AI environment, it connects S&P Global content to Copilot experiences, including within Excel for analyst workflows and as a plugin for agentic experiences in Copilot Cowork.

The solution will give customers access to S&P Global content for activities such as company research, financial analysis and peer benchmarking without leaving Microsoft 365.

“As organisations move from experimenting with AI to operationalising it across the enterprise, access to trusted, domain-specific data becomes a critical differentiator,” said Bill Borden, corporate vice president of worldwide financial services at Microsoft. “By integrating S&P Global’s essential intelligence directly into Microsoft 365 Copilot and agentic experiences, we’re bringing the power of data and AI into the flow of work, helping financial institutions makes faster, more confidence decisions with transparency, context and traceability at every step.”
