Wiretap has integrated Microsoft Teams into its enterprise social network (ESN) security platform.

The Wiretap platform allows businesses to monitor all public and private content on its ESNs to manage risk and support regulatory compliance. Wiretap highlights activities such as inappropriate communication, intellectual property leaks, HR violations and compliance issues.

The integration brings Microsoft Teams into the platform, alongside other enterprise social networks such as Microsoft Yammer and Workplace by Facebook.

Wiretap is demonstrating the integration at the Microsoft Ignite conference that is currently taking place in Orlando, Florida.

“As leading organisations deploy Microsoft Teams, Wiretap’s integration allows them to expand their audience rapidly with the confidence that their unique security and compliance needs can be addressed,” said Jeff Schumann, Wiretap CEO and co-founder. “We are incredibly excited to demo this advanced technology at Ignite as a way to spotlight Wiretap’s operational insight, behavioural intelligence and experiential design that naturally complement Teams to help employees share ideas, exchange information and accelerate productivity.”

Wiretap also provides visibility into an organisation’s sentiment, mood and social health. It allows HR and IT administrators see behavioural patterns as they happen in order to make more informed decision. Wiretap safeguards and stewards valuable customer assets, and encourages organisations to follow detailed industry compliance regulations.

“Wiretap’s biggest potential opportunity will be the ability to drive improved personal and team productivity, and thus increase its relevance across enterprise groups,” said Melissa Incera, senior research associate at 451 Research. “The company has aimed its behavioural analytics engine at collaboration technology to help anticipate and proactively correct data leakage and cultural violations.”
