Center for Internet Security

The Center for Internet Security (CIS) is a community-driven nonprofit, responsible for the CIS Controls and CIS Benchmarks, globally recognised best practices for securing IT systems and data. It leads a global community of IT professionals to continuously evolve these standards and provide products and services to proactively safeguard against emerging threats.

Also, CIS is home to the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center, the trusted resource for cyberthreat prevention and response for government entities across US states, and the Elections Infrastructure Information Sharing and Analysis Center, which supports the cybersecurity needs of US elections offices.
