Software company Attunity has joined with Microsoft to build a data warehouse for UK-based charity Save the Children. Through the partnership, the charity can now get real-time fundraising insights on the Microsoft Azure cloud.

Attunity has provided Save the Children with a real-time data integration software Attunity Replicate. When used with Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure SQL Data Warehouse, the solution enables the charity to replicate, ingest, and stream valuable information across on-premises and cloud environments as part of a modern data warehouse solution.

“With Attunity and Azure, we’re able to better integrate data from multiple sources – including our customer relationship management and enterprise resource planning systems – so that data analysts have access to the freshest data possible for real-time analytics and reporting,” said Santha Kumar, director of application architecture and development at Save the Children.

Attunity Replicate migrates data from over 30 sources into Azure Data Lake, creating a real-time pool of data for analysts to query against using visualisation tools like Power BI. Once it is ready for analysis, the data is then moved to Azure SQL Data Warehouse.

“Our expanded strategic partnership with Microsoft enables us to jointly engage customers like Save the Children worldwide to drive large-scale migrations to Azure,” says Itamar Ankorion, managing director for data integration at Qlik, parent company of Attunity.
