Alstom Transport has implemented a DELMIA Apriso manufacturing execution system to support its production activities across different operational areas and mobile devices.
User-defined operations tasks are now presented across the shop floor through a variety of touch screen and mobile devices.
The aim is to improve visibility, control, and synchronisation of its manufacturing operations’ business processes.
The power generation and transmission and rail infrastructure company has implemented the software as part of a standard rollout to continuously improve operations and logistics performance.
“We are able to have consistent data at shop floor level. We also have close monitoring of activity, and in particular, we have the real information to react quickly,” explained Vincent Lecat, site managing director – Belfort at Alstom Transport. “As a consequence, we have good support of activities in the organisation.
“And, on top of this, we have a system that is very easy to use. We see the importance and benefit to improve the control of our quality … to bring added value for us and for our customers.”
Following an acquisition in July 2013, Dassault Systèmes is integrating Apriso’s solutions with its DELMIA application portfolio and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform’s virtual reality capabilities.
