Dell reveals new additions to Latitude device portfolio at CES 2016

Dell has unveiled two new additions to its Latitude portfolio of devices at the CES 2016 event in Las Vegas, US.

The Dell Latitude 13 7000 Series Ultrabook and the Dell Latitude 12 7000 Series 2-in-1 offer industry-leading security, manageability and reliability to customers.

Kirk Schell, vice president and general manager of commercial client solutions at Dell, said: “With the new Latitude line, we are delivering commercial devices employees will desire for being thinner, lighter and more capable than many of the most popular consumer products without compromising on the security and manageability requirements of IT.”

The Dell Latitude 13 7000 Series Ultrabook is powered by Windows 10 Pro and features an InfinityEdge display and a Thunderbolt 3 connection for faster data transfer.

The new release includes a host of advanced security features, such as a smartcard reader, fingerprint reader, and security and encryption software.

The Dell Latitude 12 7000 Series 2-in-1 is a lightweight PC that is also powered by Windows 10 Pro. The device offers the full functionality of a laptop, but can easily be converted into a tablet.

The device also comes with a full-sized keyboard that is connectable to the main device, and has a 4K UltraSharp UHD touch display.
