The team at Interop has strengthened the conference’s 2019 programme with new topical sessions, meet-ups and more. Through these additions the conference aims to enhance IT careers for both experienced managers and industry newcomers.
The event, which takes place on 20-23 May in Las Vegas, will feature a programme which has been designed by the IT community for the community to support and connect its members.
“Community has always been at the core of Interop,” said Meghan Reilly, general manager at Interop. “Our event provides a safe haven for IT professionals to learn from their peers and share war stories, hear about the latest tools and approaches and get inspiration for the next step in their career. The entire life cycle of the event, from planning to onsite, reflects our mission of nurturing the IT community.”
The new sessions will address topics with the intention of helping those who work in IT to learn and provide the necessary skills and practices for a healthy work balance. Of these, Nicole Sanchez, CEO and founder of Vaya Consulting, will discuss tactics to increase diversity and inclusion, Robert Cordova from Robert Cordova Consulting will address the importance of collaboration and team-building and Sonia Cuff, cloud advocate at Microsoft will cover tackling burnout.
In addition to its regular programming, Interop has developed several programmes to further boost the careers of its audience and allow them to make long-lasting connections. The show’s ‘Ask the Experts’ programme will match attendees with mentors and experts to help answer questions on career development, technology decisions and staff development. A pilot programme for 2019 is ‘Industry Connections’ which offers attendees networking and programme opportunities to meet and discuss problems and opportunities.
