Microsoft has showcased  the new wave of solutions and services it has developed for Azure for Operators at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022, which is taking place in Barcelona, Spain.

First launched in September 2020 and updated in 2021 with the developed version of Azure private MEC, Azure for Operators is designed to help operators to deploy network capital effectively, accelerate the time between products being designed and released to market, and encourage the use of 5G services. The new solutions and services combine the enhanced version of the acquired AT&T technology with Azure, including security, monitoring, analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and more.

Several Microsoft executives are attending MWC to showcase how the business is working with partners to develop the technologies and solutions that will help customers in various industries to drive intelligent telecommunications.

The company will highlight how it is applying its technology to bring about new and further developed solutions for operators to improve their networks and lower costs, whilst also bringing cloud and edge computing together.

“Microsoft comes to MWC with tremendous momentum in the telecommunications sector, thanks in large part to a number of recent milestones and announcements in our ongoing partnerships with telco industry leaders such as AT&T, Nokia, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Etisalat, BT, Amdocs, Lumen, Telstra, NTT, and Singtel,” said Francesco Venturini, corporate vice president of media and communications at Microsoft, in a blog post.. “Microsoft empowers these and many other organisations to achieve more with a trusted and secure platform for productivity, business operations, network optimisation, personalised experiences, and service innovation.”

Microsoft delegates currently at MWC includes experts from Microsoft 365, Teams and devices, looking to empower workers for hybrid working.
