Accounting and enterprise resource planning solutions provider Open Door Technology is transforming its training and documentation processes with e-learning solution provider ClickLearn.
The partnership has enabled Open Door to meet Microsoft’s stringent requirements for app validation and testing.
“ClickLearn allows Open Door Technology to branch out into new product development areas,” said Christian Roach, vice president of Open Door Technology. “We can accelerate our development process and app validation with Microsoft and put out user manuals online for end users to learn on their own. The main driving reason for ClickLearn is the fast turnaround with Business Central and the need to redo user documentation at least twice a year.”
Until two years ago, the Microsoft Gold partner was attempting to meet training and documentation requirements through manual processes by creating screenshots and compiling Microsoft Word documents. ClickLearn not only accelerated and simplified the process, but it was also simple to implement.
“It took less than a day to set up,” said Roach. “Learning all the various processes, tools and tricks only took a couple of weeks. We worked closely with the support team throughout the implementation process. We asked questions whenever we wanted and ClickLearn would offer a support webinar to help clear up any confusion.
“We’ve been able to significantly reduce the effort involved in maintaining and distributing training and documentation, particularly related to our AppSource development for Microsoft. We are able to rapidly develop use case steps to allow for AppSource technical validation.”
Although Open Door Technology’s primary market is English speaking, the company plans to use ClickLearn’s translation capabilities to reach French speakers in Quebec, Canada.
Having worked with ClickLearn for two years, Open Door Technology has now become a ClickLearn partner.
