Private non-profit charity Ducks Unlimited Canada is set to improve its finance management with Avanade and the new cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics ERP solution

Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) is a ­registered charity that partners with government agencies, industry partners, other non-profit organisations and landowners to conserve wetlands that are critical to waterfowl, wildlife and the environment in Canada.

As Canada’s primary conservation organisation, DUC needs to be able to effectively track donations and donor and partner contributions to ensure it meets its conservation goals. To do so, DUC has contracted Microsoft Dynamics AX partner Avanade to optimise its financial management systems by implementing a new cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution.

Built on Microsoft Azure and Dynamics AX, the ERP solution will replace DUC’s existing legacy financial software system, which has been used for more than 30 years.

The new solution will provide DUC with enhanced visibility into valuable information and data related to its national, provincial and regional operations. DUC will also have real-time access to financial reports, which will enable it to analyse data more efficiently and accurately than before. 

In addition, by leveraging a cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics AX solution, DUC will be able to access the solution from any device at any time, and scale it as needed.

This will be the first implementation of the new Microsoft Dynamics AX solution in Canada.
