MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY IN GOVERNMENT, HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION AND PUBLIC SAFETY & NATIONAL SECURITY
Spring 2013
Editor: Amber Stokes
Publication manager: Andy Clayton-Smith
The Spring 2013 issue of Touch is out now, focusing on Microsoft technology in government, healthcare, education, and public safety and national security. In this issue we find out how Microsoft partner KMS is helping healthcare organisations in Germany and beyond with a solution it has built using Microsoft SQL Azure, which pools data and allows healthcare providers to access it in an affordable way. Our special healthcare feature on page 22 builds on this story, detailing even more IT developments taking place, including Esri’s geo-medicine solutions.
You can also hear from Microsoft’s Stephen McGibbon on page 36, where he highlights the potential economic benefits of cloud computing for European businesses and consumers.
