The Autumn 2019 issue of The Record is out now and available to view free of charge in digital format.
As we went to press, the financial services community was busy preparing for the annual Sibos gathering, which this year took place in London. As a media sponsor for the event, we have dedicated our lead financial services feature to one of the biggest issues facing banks today - the impact of the cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) on payments systems.
This isn’t the only event that is looming large on the calendar in the months ahead. The Record will be represented once again as part of the Microsoft village at this year’s Smart City Expo World Congress, and will also make an appearance at Future Decoded, Directions EMEA and the User Group Summit. In our Marketwatch section, we take a closer look at the technology solutions being showcased at these events and find out what delegates can expect.
The rest of the magazine is just as action-packed. The cover story outlines the ways in which Microsoft’s strategy for digital transformation is helping companies of all denominations to seamlessly connect every part of their business and drive commercial success. Meanwhile, the manufacturing feature explores examples of how digital transformation is shaping manufacturing 4.0. And we take a look at the use of AI in both our public sector feature and in the retail feature.
There’s also a brand-new series of interviews and perspective pieces about Microsoft’s worldwide community of technology centres to get your teeth into. Our first conversation is with Waldemir Cambiucci, who tells us a little more about Microsoft Brazil’s recently relaunched Sao Paolo centre and the work being done there.
There’s plenty more too – enjoy the issue!
