Over 3,000 attendees from across the globe attended the 2026 European Collaboration Summit (ECS) from the 5-7 May in Cologne, Germany, for three days of talks, presentations and networking opportunities.
The event featured 275 sessions delivered by 248 speakers, including 106 Microsoft MVPs, 11 Microsoft regional directors and 58 Microsoft representatives, covering topics including modern work, Microsoft 365 and Copilot.
AI technology was the dominant theme of the event, shaping conversations across keynotes, technical sessions and workshops alike. Much of the focus was on practical implementation and real-world use cases, from Microsoft Copilot adoption and AI agents to governance, security, automation and the future of work.

“ECS has never been only about technology; what makes this event special is the people behind it,” said Adis Jugo, one of the founders of ECS. “The speakers willing to share knowledge openly, the sponsors and partners who continuously support the community, the attendees who travel from all over the world to be part of these conversations, and of course the incredible team and volunteers working behind the scenes for months. We are deeply grateful to all of them. Every year, ECS becomes bigger, but more importantly, the community becomes stronger.”
Organisers confirmed the next edition of ECS will take place from 31 May to 2 June 2027 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
