Atos will open three new AI centres in the UK to meet the growing demand for UK-based IT delivery, data hosting, and digital resilience for public sector, defence and critical national infrastructure organisations.

First, the Sovereign Orchestration Hub will provide an AI-enable suite of offerings including the Atos Sovereign Cloud portfolio. Customers will have access to cloud services, AI-powered workplace tools, extended device support, and a combined network and security monitoring centre to help them spot issues early, work more efficiently, and stay secure and resilient.

Next, the Digital Agentic Centre will host and manage sovereign AI services. By automating more than half of engineering, testing and DevOps tasks, it will help organisations save money and accelerate digital transformation.

Finally, the Sovereign Digital Enablement Centre, supported by Microsoft, will act as a safe “testing space” for small and medium-sized businesses, academic institutions and larger enterprises to develop new digital solutions quickly and securely.

“Our new sovereign offerings will ensure our clients have a future-ready end-to-end IT estate under their control so that they can easily adapt to any regulatory or geopolitical changes,” said Michael Herron, head of Atos UK and Ireland. “For businesses in the public, defence and critical national infrastructure sectors, the need for sovereign AI capabilities is mission-critical, and we’re proud to be working with them to make safe and reliable digital and AI development possible.”
