Augury webinar: Why and how to perform a criticality assessment

Event aims to help manufacturers reduce and prevent unplanned downtime

By Elly Yates-Roberts |

Manufacturing solutions provider Augury will host a webinar on 30 June to help attendees understand the importance of criticality assessments.

According to Augury, unplanned downtime costs manufacturers billions. Criticality assessments can help businesses identify their most important assets, improve the reliability of their equipment, and reduce unnecessary parts inventory.

“One of the things that can happen if you haven’t run a criticality assessment is that you end up not maintaining inventory on critical spares, so you could have a breakdown on a critical asset, not have a spare part and not be able to run,” said Brian Richmond, solutions architect at Augury.

During the webinar, Richmond will share actionable tips on how attendees can create their own matrices and discuss topics such as the business case for performing a criticality assessment and how to rank assets from most to least critical.
