Data security and intelligence platform BigID is giving security teams more context around Microsoft Sentinel findings by adding information about what data is actually at risk, who can access it and how serious that risk is – all within the security tools organisations already use.
Built on Microsoft’s Codeless Connector Framework (CCF), the integration uses nested API support to bring more detailed, context-rich data and risk information directly into Microsoft Sentinel workflows. This enables security teams to work out which problems are genuinely dangerous and require action, and which are relatively minor, without having to jump between applications.
“For security teams, the practical effect is that BigID’s data context and risk findings flow natively into Sentinel,” said Jon Mayer, vice president of business development and partnerships at BigID. “They can use BigID’s data security posture management insights inside the Microsoft security workflows they already rely on instead of switching between separate consoles. They get the information where they’re already working, in the format they already use to triage and respond.”
The BigID DSPM connector for Microsoft Sentinel is available through Microsoft Marketplace, while BigID is also available through the Microsoft Security Store.
