Video collaboration software provider Evercast has created a first-of-its-kind plugin to enable professionals to stream 4K videos and presentations on Microsoft Teams and other collaboration platforms.

The Evercast Presenter plugin is built on the same technology that powers Evercast Studio, which advertising agencies, game developers and film and television production companies use for collaboratively reviewing content in real time. The plugin enables any professional to stream videos in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second with less than 100 milliseconds average latency. It supports any video file and integrates with cloud platforms and more than 100 applications.

Key features include adjustable resolution, frame rate and bit rate settings, as well as the ability to watermark content and control permissions to ensure it is shared securely.

The plugin also has built-in adaptive bandwidth to ensure it works reliably whatever the connection speed, and collaborative drawing tools to enable all meeting attendees to participate in reviewing content.

“We built Presenter for anyone who’s felt frustrated when their screen share starts stuttering or pixelating,” said Tram Le-Jones, general manager at Evercast.“Standard screen share wasn’t designed for high-quality content, especially video. Lag, compression, and dropped frames don’t just waste time, they dilute the message. With Presenter, we’re raising the bar for everyday video conferencing and presentations.”

Potential use cases include business pitches, town halls, creative sessions, training sessions and clinical consultations.

Evercast will host a live demonstration of Evercast Presenter at its booth (N2861) at this year’s NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
