New platform provides a visual, role-based interface that consolidates documents, projects and stakeholders into a single view

M-Files, a global provider of document management solutions, has introduced Workspaces, a new platform designed to help organisations manage and interpret information by connecting documents with the people, projects and processes that define their context.

Built on the company’s context-first architecture, Workspaces provides a visual, role-based interface that consolidates documents, projects and stakeholders into a single view. It enables users to navigate by context rather than file structure, providing a comprehensive overview of each client, project or process.

The platform also integrates with core business systems, including customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, to provide instant access to information across multiple sources.

“With M-Files Workspaces, we expect to significantly reduce the time our busy experts spend searching for information,” said Mikko Pippuri, digital ninja at law firm Berggren. “We’re looking ahead to a future of complete visibility into our clients, cases and their due dates, where decisions happen faster, errors are minimised and collaboration feels effortless.”

Workspaces is powered by M-Files Aino, the company’s AI engine, which incorporates contextual data from across projects and processes. Unlike models that analyse content in isolation, Aino draws on relationships between documents and operational elements to provide more accurate insights, automation and compliance support.

“Workspaces represents a shift in how people interact with documents and business information,” said Tony Grout, chief product officer at M-Files. “It is built on a model that understands how organisations operate, supporting insight, automation and a smoother user experience.”

The initial release of M-Files Workspaces is now available, with further enhancements scheduled for future updates.
