Cybersecurity company McAfee has launched its MVISION Cloud for Microsoft Teams. The extension is a security and compliance integration for Teams which aims to help IT Team enforce data loss prevention, threat protection and monitor activity.
It is an extension to the firm’s security solution that is already available for Microsoft Office 365. It’s cloud-native approach enables IT teams to: enforce data loss prevention policies and collaboration controls; address threats from insiders and compromised accounts; audit all user activity; and secure corporate data as users collaborate in the cloud.
“McAfee MVISION Cloud enables IT and security teams to consistently enforce security and compliance controls across all their SaaS, PaaS and IaaS applications, including Microsoft Teams,” said Rajiv Gupta, senior vice president of Cloud Security Business at McAfee. “We’re thrilled to integrate with another industry-leading cloud solution to protect corporate data, while providing employees with the freedom to use cloud services that drive productivity and collaboration.”
With McAfee MVISION Cloud companies can provide employees with a collaboration platform, while enforcing the necessary capabilities to secure data.
“We’re pleased to see McAfee’s commitment to supporting and securing this ever-increasing demand,” said Levon Esibov, partner director of Program Management for Microsoft Teams and Office 365 at Microsoft. “McAfee MVISION Cloud integrates with Microsoft Teams APIs—ensuring our joint customers can successfully meet key security and compliance requirements.”
McAfee’s solution for Microsoft Teams provides security, governance and compliance capabilities, including: a unified, cloud-native security platform, modern data security, collaboration control, comprehensive remediation, threat prevention, forensic investigations and on-the-go security for on-the-go policies.
“MVISION’s integration with Microsoft Teams grants security teams greater control and enforcement over data that is being shared, allowing the wider business to collaborate freely while managing risk and educating users on correct collaboration policies,” said Nigel Hawthorn EMEA marketing director at McAfee (pictured).
