Michelle Obama announced as featured speaker at Microsoft Envision

The former first lady of the US will speak at the Microsoft event in Orlando, Florida later this year

Microsoft has announced the featured speakers for its Envision conference which will take place from 25-27 September in Orlando, Florida.


Michelle Obama, the former first lady of the US, will take to the stage alongside Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, GE’s vice chair Beth Comstock and more.


As a transformative first lady, Michelle Obama launched and led four key initiatives: Let’s Move!, to address the challenge of childhood obesity; Joining Forces, to support veterans, service members and their families; Reach Higher, to inspire young people to seek higher education; and Let Girls Learn, to help adolescent girls around the world go to school.


Microsoft has yet to announce the key topics that Michelle Obama will focus on in her presentation, however it has publicised that the key theme of this year’s event will be to “challenge assumptions and explore what is possible through digital transformation.”
