Hyundai FutureNet, a technology services company within South Korean retail and services conglomerate Hyundai Department Store Group, has partnered with Microsoft Korea on an AI transformation (AX) and retail AI innovation project.
The partners will build a security framework to safely use AI at Hyundai Department Store Group – this work includes establishing an AI security and governance framework to create a foundation for the safe use of AI.
Hyundai FutureNet’s dedicated AI research organisation and Microsoft Korea’s AI specialists will jointly develop next-generation AI agents, specifically for the retail industry.
“This memorandum of understanding is a strategic partnership to accelerate Hyundai Department Store Group’s AI transformation and strengthen its retail innovation competitiveness,” said Kim Sung-il, CEO of Hyundai FutureNet.
Hyundai FutureNet will also expand the adoption of Microsoft 365 across the group’s operations, using Microsoft AI Foundry, Azure AI and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
