Microsoft’s new security offering – Microsoft Defender Experts Suite – is designed to help organisations defend against advanced cyberthreats, modernise security operations and improve resilience.
The suite brings together managed extended detection and response (MXDR), proactive and reactive incident response, and direct access to a designated Microsoft security advisor to help organisations enhance their security. Together, these capabilities aim to reduce alert fatigue and improve the effectiveness of security operations teams.
Microsoft delivers 24/7 MXDR through analysts with more than 600 years of combined security experience, who triage, investigate and respond to incidents across endpoints, identities, email, cloud apps and cloud workloads.
As part of the incident response service, Microsoft experts help organisations prepare for, withstand and recover from cyber incidents. Proactive services include incident response planning, security assessments, simulation exercises and advisory support. When an attack occurs, the incident response team investigates the threat, removes the attacker and supports a fast recovery.
Plus, each organisation is assigned a Microsoft security advisor who works closely with teams to ensure Microsoft security technologies are correctly deployed and used effectively to achieve desired security outcomes.
