New features in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Platform will enable businesses to improve a range of processes with natural language processing and artificial intelligence-generated insights.

The updates include new Microsoft Copilot capabilities in Dynamics 365 and role-based extensions for Microsoft 365 including Microsoft Copilot for Sales, Copilot for Service and Copilot for Finance, which were announced at the Microsoft Business Applications Launch Event and will be released between April and September 2024.

Charles Lamanna, corporate vice president of business applications and platforms at Microsoft, explained during the event that Microsoft Copilot Studio underpins these capabilities.

Microsoft Copilot Studio supports Copilot for Sales, for Service and for Finance

Copilot capabilities for Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Copilot for Service include generative AI-drafted knowledge articles and responses for conversations with customers.

These new features and more are part of Microsoft’s ‘2024 release wave 1’ that will “help small and medium businesses to automate processes and complete tasks faster,” according to Lamanna in a recent blog post. Lamanna highlights how Microsoft customers Lenovo, G&J Pepsi, Omnicom Group, Ford and Sonepar are all using Copilot to improve productivity and creativity by assisting with time-consuming tasks.
