Software developer Skyline Communications has integrated its DataMiner xOps platform with Microsoft Foundry to help media companies implement AI-native, autonomous operations.

Now that DataMiner xOps has been combined with Microsoft Foundry, media companies can use it to build, deploy and manage AI-powered applications and agents for automating workflows, surfacing operational insights and optimising operations. This helps users to decrease deployment cycles, scale operations efficiently, and improve collaboration between engineering, operations, production and business teams.

“The media industry is entering a fundamentally new phase,” said Ben Vandenberghe, CEO of Skyline Communications. “Cloud and AI are no longer optional technology layers, they are becoming strategic assets that define how fast media companies can innovate, how efficiently they can operate, and how well they can compete.”

Skyline Communications will demonstrate how its enhanced DataMiner xOps platform is helping media organisations transition to AI-native operations at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, from 11-14 September.

“Media organisations are looking for practical ways to apply cloud and AI across increasingly complex operational environments,” said Simon Crownshaw, head of media and entertainment at Microsoft. “By bringing together DataMiner’s operational intelligence platform with Microsoft Foundry, Skyline Communications is helping customers build AI-powered applications and agents that orchestrate operations across fragmented media ecosystems, accelerate innovation and unlock new levels of operational efficiency.”
