Wowza showcases live-streaming solutions at NAB

Media firm Wowza is showcasing its live-streaming solutions at NAB, including its Streaming Cloud service and Microsoft Azure artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) capabilities.

Developed through Wowza’s Streaming Cloud and Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services, the next-generation AI/ML capabilities will be on show at the Microsoft (SL6716) and Wowza (SU7114) booths. The live-streaming technology identifies objects and people in near-real time with minimal latency. The Wowza Streaming Cloud is also one of the first cloud partners for LinkedIn Live, which gives select users the ability to broadcast live video to large audiences.

“Wowza is very excited to be part of this new LinkedIn Live effort,” said David Stubenvoll, CEO and co-founder of Wowza. “Broadcasting live video can be one of the most engaging experiences on social media platforms, giving users a real-time connection with speakers, action and events. We look forward to a great relationship as this service expands.”

At NAB, Wowza representatives at the Microsoft booth are demonstrating how the combination of Streaming Cloud with Ultra Low Latency and powered by Microsoft Azure, provides enhanced live-streaming capabilities and global video delivery in under three seconds. Wowza is also hosting several in-booth live interviews with Microsoft to highlight the power of this combined technology stack.
