Accounting firm EY is using the Microsoft Cloud and Azure OpenAI to develop a new intelligent payroll chatbot for its clients.
The EY Intelligent Payroll Chatbot will use language learning models and artificial intelligence sourced from ChatGPT to streamline payroll employee experiences and increase employee satisfaction rates. This will ensure employees receive quick responses to their questions, regardless of barriers such as the language they are using or the time zone they are in. Employees will then be referred to helplines if they can’t access the help they need via the chatbot. This will reduce the workload of those working in call centres and employee information portals.
The chatbot will also automate payroll administrator controls and use data insights to guide workforces.

The new solution will be added to EY’s employee experience mobile and web applications, which provides compliant pay slips, tax documents and insights to employees across 159 countries.
