Microsoft is extending the availability of the beta version of Power BI, its cloud-based business analytics tool.
Until yesterday, the preview was only available to users with a US business e-mail account. Now it’s available in 140 markets worldwide.
Microsoft has also said it will be adding more popular data sources to the tool soon, including Microsoft Dynamics Marketing, Google Analytics, Zuora, Acumatica, and Twilio.
First unveiled in January, the new and improved Power BI is designed to allow non-technical business users to get to grips with data analytics with interactive visual reports and dashboards.
“With Power BI our customers can keep a pulse on their business by bringing all their data together and monitor it through a single pane of glass,” said James Phillips, corporate vice president of Data Experiences at Microsoft. “Live Power BI dashboards and reports show visualisations and KPIs from data that reside both on-premises and in the cloud, providing a consolidated view across the business regardless of where the data lives.”
