Nearly a year since they announced their strategic partnership and Microsoft and Salesforce have launched a new Salesforce App for Outlook in beta.
The app, which is now available to download from the Office Store, lets users view their Salesforce contacts, leads, accounts and opportunities from within their Microsoft inbox.
Compatible with Outlook 2013, Office 365, Outlook for Mac and the Outlook Web App, the cloud-based tool can be downloaded for free but you do need a subscription to Salesforce Enterprise Edition or higher.
“This exciting integration gives you a brand new way to experience Salesforce, right from Outlook and Office 365,” said Ryan Aytay, senior vice president of the Salesforce for Microsoft Division. “Even better, it’s 100% cloud based with nothing to install!”
