Savision is to release a new Live Maps’ solution designed to transform Microsoft System Center into a business service health monitoring solution.
Due to launch this May, Unity is part of Savision’s flagship product Live Maps and provides an end-to-end service health monitoring solution that integrates with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager and Service Manager.
Unity provides intuitive and customisable dashboards that trace dependencies between business services and their underlying IT components. This enables companies to monitor the health status of each business service from an end-user, applications and infrastructure perspective.
The solution simplifies complex IT environments, while the change management function automatically updates the configuration management database. It also implements ‘What-if’ scenarios that highlight the impact of a change request, determining the optimal time to implement change requests. In addition it facilitates data sharing through web share points and the Live Maps App for mobile devices.
“Our R&D department is fully committed to delivering solutions that are completely aligned with the latest and future market needs,” said Rob Doucette, vice president of R&D at Savision. “Providing cloud management information in the context of business services has quickly become Savision’s main focus. The latest Live Maps release represents an important step forward in our alignment to this focus.”
Providing a customer-centric view and business-oriented approach, Unity also allows companies to manage and use both external and internal customer data to optimise service delivery.
According to Savision, the solution will help to improve organisational effectiveness by up to 25%, while reducing business downtime, helpdesk incidents and IT monitoring costs by 20%.
