Microsoft has previewed its new Microsoft Cloud for Retail platform at NRF 2021. This second industry-specific platform follows the release of the Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare and is designed to help retailers address business needs by turning data into insights.

Microsoft Cloud for Retail connects experiences across the shopper journey with integrated and intelligent capabilities from Microsoft Azure, the Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Advertising.

“By bringing together disparate data sources across the retail value chain, we will enable retailers to realise the true value of their data by enriching core business processes and turning data into actionable insights,” said Shelley Bransten, corporate vice president of worldwide retail and consumer goods at Microsoft.

Microsoft’s partner ecosystem will also be involved in the new platform, extending its value by providing retail-specific solutions that ensure organisations can tackle their business challenges and prepare for the future.

“We’re designing Microsoft Cloud for Retail to give you the flexibility to adopt the capabilities you need to address your most pressing business needs be it better knowing your customers, empowering your employees, creating an intelligent supply chain, or reimagining your business model,” said Bransten.
