Allied Irish Bank (AIB) is working with Microsoft to rollout AI-powered tools to its employees.
As part of the digital transformation Microsoft 365 Copilot will be deployed to the majority of AIB employees, supporting them in applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams and PowerPoint.
Furthermore, AIB’s AI Centre of Excellence will use Copilot Studio to develop tailored AI solutions. These will support employees with a variety of tasks, such as synthesising customer insights from complex data sources to generate faster, more informed decisions.
In addition, AIB is planning to introduce a secure AI coding tool to accelerate software development with GitHub Copilot with the aim of helping engineers to develop intelligent solutions with greater speed.
“Our AI Centre of Excellence has laid the groundwork for this shift, ensuring that every deployment of AI and generative AI is secure, purposeful and people-centric,” said Graham Fagan, chief technology officer at AIB. “This is more than a technology rollout. We are unlocking innovation from within and creating space for our people to do their best work, so we can deliver even more for our customers.”
As the bank embeds AI across the organisation, it will provide training and support programmes to help its employees build the skills and confidence they need to get the most out of Copilot.
